Our
Hepatitis C Formula has gone through several incarnations, each one
stronger than its predecessor. Now name REM+ we have chosen
REM over LEM as it generates about a 50% increase in the anti-viral
compound EP3. This is a lignan that is obtained from the mushroom
mycelium transforming the growth medium, which is sugar cane
bagasse.
Our
next ingredient is Coriolus Versicolor which is standardized
to be 36% or greater beta-glucan content.
This is a substance that is sold by the Japanese pharmaceutical
industry for the treatment of cancer for over $1100 a month
for 90 grams. Coriolus increases the body's production of
it's own interferon, as does REM as well. This is a highly
studied
product, in 1987 PSK (the type of Coriolus we use) accounted
for 25.2% of the Japanese spending for anti-cancer therapeutics.
It is used for liver ailments, including chronic hepatitis
as well as cancer.
REM+
also contains a fruiting body extract of red reishi, minimum
10% polysaccharide/beta-glucan and 4%
triterpene content. There is a considerable difference between
beta-glucan extracted from medicinal mushrooms and that taken
from yeast, having to do with solubility, primarty structure,
molecular weight and branching in determining its effect
on the immune system. Medicinal mushroom derived beta-glucan
has
branching side chains that have a lock and key relationship
with receptors on immune cells.
Rounding
off our product is a pure grape seed extract, which has a powerful
anti-oxidant
action (20 times stronger than Vitamin C). It opens up
circulation and strengthens blood vessels allowing a deeper
penetration
fo this product. Fructus Schizandra is our final ingredient;
being used to treat hepatitis as well as its peaceful influence.
All this in a capsule with no binders or flow agents. We have
kept the price the same as LEM+ even though our production
costs our higher with the stronger ingredients.
