Description:
Use
200 mcgs of methylseleno-cysteine for every 40 lbs of body
weight daily, take with meals in divided doses. A 160 lb
person would take 4 capsules, 800 mcgs daily. The type
of selenium used is critically important, especially in
using high doses. Methylseleno-cysteine which is concentrated
by plants such as garlic, onions, broccoli, and a type
of wild leek is the least toxic of any forms tested as
well as being extremely active HCV depletes selenium reserves
in the body in its encoding of selenoproteins. This situation
corresponds to Vitamin C and colds, whereby your body needs
and tolerates much higher levels of selenium with certain
viral infections including; HCV, HIV, Ebola virus and others.
A midwestern doctor who has studied selenium extensively,
Dr. Passwater recently did a important study on selenium.
He took HepC patients and gave them increasingly high doses
of selenium. He found that mild side effects (hair fell
out and nail beds became loose) took place at around 3100
mcg daily of selenium and quickly went away when the dose
was lowered. Selenite, an inorganic form of selenium was
toxic at a much lower dose, do not use this type. Passwater
studied the people of Iceland, who have an average daily
dietary intake of 1300 mcgs, with no longterm consequence.
Selenium encourages the latency of the HepC virus.
