This is the most effective product we have come across for the herpes family of viruses. L-lysine inhibits replication of viruses, but as it is one of the few positively charged amino acids its cellular absorption is poor; combined with orotic acid makes it into a powerful medicine without any side effects that we have seen. It tends to work fast, making a difference in a couple of days for most patients. If there is no improvement after one bottle for a herpes outbreak go to d-lenolate. We have tended to use this product when there is co-infection with HCV, at this point we have not used it enough in HCV cases without co-infection to know its impact on HCV alone. Part of the issue is that this works quickly, most often in a bottle or two, so we have not had many patients on this in the sustained fashion that it takes to work with HCV.
